Regional Sales Manager – Central United States (Chicago)
Location: Chicago
Position Overview:
We are recruiting skilled sales professionals who are dedicated and motivated hunters to build technical credibility with existing customers and prospects, while meeting revenue goals and long-term customer satisfaction.
Overall responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Close new business
- Intelligently manage territory, sell strategically, manage a complex sales cycle from
identifying appropriate business targets,securing appointments, executing a strategic
sales prospect and managing the prospect to close.
- Drive sales activity so you are consistently presenting compelling solution
demonstrations to multiple decision makers at new prospects
- Build and maintain appropriate pipeline of qualified large and small deals,
and accurately forecast pipeline
- Create and implement strategic account plans
- Partner with software development, sales, marketing and support teams to continually
refine the sales process and software demonstration
- Drive partner revenue to hit quota regional partners, focus partners and
National partners
- Manage multiple strategic national partners, develop a business plan, execute
against it. Coordinate executive level meetings
- Build Partner go-to-market account plans, while managing recruitment and assessment of new partners and the opportunities they source.
- Take ownership of local partner relationships including; partner training and productivity
- Hold partner accountable for forecast, program requirement fulfillment and
target accounts
Requirements:
- 5+ yrs of direct and channel (VARs and Resellers) selling of mid-market/commercial
infrastructure or application software; experience in sales of data protection
solutions (backup, replication, VTL, snapshot) and or Microsoft software solutions
(Exchange, SQL).
- Prior experience selling within an applicable domain space is a requirement in order to be considered for this role.
- Ability to identify appropriate business targets, secure appointments, execute on a
successful and strategic sales process and manage the prospect to close
- Experience developing, executing and managing account plans
- Knowledge of consultative software sales and knowledge of partners/resellers in region
- Ability to learn Asempra software product with the intent to train others
- Must have good presentation skills and be self motivated
