Storage Array Support
The BCS appliance leverages your existing storage investment with complete support for heterogeneous storage environments. With the BCS you avoid storage vendor lock-in and can protect servers with a particular storage vendor protected to the BCS connected to a different storage vendor. Supported storage configurations are:
Direct Attached Storage - (iSCSI or FC interconnect)
iSCSI SAN Storage interconnect
Fibre Channel (FC) SAN Storage interconnect
Disk interface independent: Storage subsystem may use Fibre Channel, SAS, SATA, or SCSI disk interconnects
Network Support
The BCS can be installed on either a Local Area Network (LAN) with a minimum requirement of 1 Gigabit bandwidth or a Wide Area Network (WAN). For lower bandwidth WAN deployments, the BCS can be used in conjunction with WAN acceleration products, such as those from Riverbed. Each BCS is equipped with dual 1 Gigabit Ethernet ports for connection to your LAN or WAN.
